Hello, my name is Philip Aston and I am a keen photographer whose passions are driven by the landscape and wildlife of the United Kingdom.

I have always had an interest in nature and the great outdoors from as soon as I was able to walk around outside. Holidays in the Lake District from the age of 6 years old have instilled a deep-rooted connection with the countryside, mountains and wildlife, which continues to this day.

I have spent many years walking in the Lake District and Scotland and also travelling round many of the Scottish Islands exploring the scenery and wildlife.

Taking the photographs is only a part of the whole journey. Looking at the images at a later date can only serve as a reminder and can no way replace the actual experiences of being in such wonderful places.

Hopefully these images will provide you with the inspiration to go and explore these places for yourself, if you get the chance, to see what you can find and photograph.
